Gardens and their dynamics made an early impression on me having grown up with avid gardening parents. After a career in women’s retail running a successful business in York Region I had an opportunity to move to the southeast part of England. While there I retrained in the horticulture and garden design industry. In London I studied and received a Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture with the Royal Horticultural Society, a nationally recognized qualification. I also attained a diploma with the Garden Design School one of the foremost providers of specialist training courses in garden design. The teaching was largely undertaken by college founders Moira Farnham and Robin Templar Williams, both highly respected designers in south east England. Since moving back to York Region, I have joined The Toronto Master Gardeners acclaimed program for 2010. Also, I continue to follow trends in the United Kingdom as a Pre-Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers .
